Review of potential vision statements
Goals and Strategies Exercise – using the document that was a compilation of the “homework” assignment, identify a goal for each of the themes using the following definitions:
- Goal – A written outcome statement that defines what the institution is trying to accomplish both programmatically and organizationally
- Strategy – The means by which an organization intends to accomplish a goal
- Action Plan – An Action Plan is focused on specific, concrete, intended actions designed to achieve the vision and goals of the institution. The Action Plan emphasizes what will be done, when and by whom. The Action Plan may also be referred to as an Operational Plan.
